

| BIO Mikki Bakken is a seasoned performer comfortable in front of 4000 audience members, a roadhouse or a coffeehouse crowd. Her powerful voice wraps itself around sensitive love songs ala James Taylor & Aretha Franklin, then switch into high gear with road house rock ala Coco Taylor, Joan Osborne and Janis Joplin. History She began her professional career as a songwriter in 1990 while in the Acoustic Rock Duo Smith & Bakken. They worked together until 1994, when Lisa went to Nashville towork for Vicotria Shaw, and Mikki had to learn how to play guitar. ( Mikki was formerly a percussionist who knew about 3 chords ) In 1995, Mikki started playing again and played Boston, New Hampshire and New York on a regular basis. She perfected her solo act and began to play well with others again. She has worked with some wonderful musicians like Pete Pashoukos, Rick Bolton & the Dwyer Sisters, Torey Adler, Tony Markellis, Dale Haskell, and most recently Brian Gibney. Now in 2005 she is a well known player in the Saratoga, Glens Falls, and Lake George regional scene and is looking forward to a busy 2006 season.
